Paul Matthews

Paul Matthews serves as the Deputy Port Director at Plaquemines Port Harbor and Terminal District, the 12th largest tonnage port in America. Paul joined Plaquemines Port after serving as the Community Affairs Manager at the Port of New Orleans.

As Deputy Director, Paul oversees operational and administrative functions of the Port. During his tenure, the port has been awarded more than $2 million in Port security grants, $3.65 million in WRDA and the port has recorded its highest revenue and strongest net position in Port history.

Paul currently serves as Chairman of GNO inc. NextGen Council and is a member of various maritime and civic organizations, including Ports Association of Louisiana, Board of Director of United Way Southeast Louisiana & Board of Directors for Plaquemines Association of Business and Industry, as well as a member of several American Association of Port Authorities Committees.
